My Interpretation: The teacher uses a variety of assessment methods to involve students in their own learning, track their progress, and inform ongoing lesson planning and instruction.

Artifact 1: PowerSchool Grading
Indicator: 6 (i) Continually seeks appropriate ways to employ technology to support assessment practice both to engage learners more fully and to assess and address learner needs.

Introduction to Standard: This is a screenshot of the website I use to grade. It is called Powerschool. It allows you to select the type of assignment, and it will grade the assignment based on what you chose. Once you've entered the grades, it will calculate whether or not the student meets the content standards.

Rationale: As you can see from the screenshot, it is a mix of assignments from quizzes to tests to classwork. PowerSchool grading has many tools built into it. Each student has their own individual PowerSchool. As a teacher, I can mark assignments as missing, and it will show them that they have missing assignments and what the assignment is. Since it will also calculate whether students are meeting the standards, it is an excellent tool for me to see where students need more practice or if most are meeting the standard.
Artifact 2: Assesment Plan
Indicator: 6 (t) Is committed to using multiple assessment processes to support, verify, and document learning.
Introduction to Artifact: This table is the assessment plan that I created for my teacher work sample. It breaks down each lesson into the learning objective and the learning goal that each lesson goes along with. It also gives the different types of assessments and how they will be graded.

Rationale: The Assessment and assessment tool lists the different assessments I'm using and the object/paper I am using to grade them. For example, most lessons are formative practice, teacher feedback, and work ethic-driven. What is being assessed is the practice worksheet that goes along with the practice. On the page, there are also blue cells; these cells are the summative cells. In the scoring category, I explain how it is being graded. At the end of the assessment plan, I also provide examples of how students can do makeup summative assessments. All of these are important to document student growth and document their learning. The assessment plan is a mix of summative graded assignments and formative assignments, for which teacher feedback is given and graded based on work ethic.
